Hynix Semiconductors Further Extends Adoption of LyricT – Pulsic’s Shape-Based Place & Route Flow

Bristol, England – June 9th, 2005 – Pulsic today announced that Hynix Semiconductor Inc. has increased the use of the LyricT shape-based place & route platform to reduce the turnaround time of designs. Hynix Semiconductor uses Lyric’s floorplanning and placement technology which is specially designed to handle the layout demands of their leading edge designs. Hynix also uses the automatic and interactive routing capabilities as well as the unique Spine Router from Pulsic which is specifically designed to address the challenges of memory routing-channel interconnect.

Dr S.K.Hong, CIO and VP of Hynix commented, “We have been looking for the solution to reduce turnaround time for our memory design. Initially, using a select number of production designs we investigated the usefulness of Pulsic software. We have been very pleased with the results, and we now plan to extend the deployment to a larger part of our design community; in our quest for faster time to market.”

Said Ken Roberts, CEO of Pulsic, “We are delighted with the continued success that Hynix is experiencing with Lyric. We are committed to providing them with the best automated physical design technology to meet their challenging requirements.”
