The Pulsic Planning Solution is used for chip planning, bus/repeater planning, power planning and hierarchical signal planning in designing hierarchical custom digital, custom ASIC, FPGA, microprocessors, Memory, LCD/LED, or other ASSP designs.

Pulsic’s Implementation Solutions include the Pulsic Custom Placer and the Pulsic Custom Router. The Custom Router includesthe patented Unity Spine and Stitch Router, the most efficient and highest performance router for extreme aspect ratio designs, including DRAM, Flash memory, Imaging, LCD/LED , DSP and other non conventional aspect ratios.

Pulsic’s routing offerings also include the Unity Analog Router, an easy to use, guided flow that delivers significant improvements in layout productivity for analog designers. The Unity Analog Router is designed specifically to address the problems analog designers face and delivers DRC-correct and aesthetically structured routing for hierarchical analog and AMS ICs.

Field Applications Engineer

Pulsic is looking for enthusiastic, multi-skilled, Field Applications Engineers to supplement its growing team based in Santa Clara, CA. As part of a small but growing team your role will be a highly visible, and you will be expected to make a contribution to the continued expansion of Pulsic’s business, which grew by over 30% in 2011. You will support Pulsic’s customers and prospects in the custom digital, ASSP, memory, analog and mixed signal markets.

You should also have experience of supporting back end physical design tools and have excellent programming or scripting skills.

Job Description

The Field Applications Engineer will be involved in pre- and post-sales activities, working with Pulsic’s customers and prospects in the support of Pulsic’s range of planning and implementation solutions (including chip planning, bus/repeater planning, power planning, placement, routing, SI, extraction, etc.).

You will demonstrate Pulsic’s products and help customers and prospects to realize the value of Pulsic’s solutions through product evaluations. You will also help customers by implementing Pulsic’s products in customers’ flows.

Requirements

• BSEE plus 3+ years experience in a customer facing support role
• Experience of back end physical design tools with excellent programming or scripting skills
• A highly motivated, ‘can do’ approach with a demonstrable ability to support multiple products across many design styles and applications aras, i.e. a “Jack/Jill of all trades”
• Travel may be required up to 20% including travel to UK for training/kick off events
• Current work authorization
